Bishop John Leads Divine Liturgy for Feast of St. Sergius of Radonezh

On the 18th Sunday after Pentecost and the feast of the repose of St. Sergius of Radonezh, October 7-8, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City. His Grace was co-served by Archpriest Nikolai Babijtchouk, rector of All Saints of Russia Church in Pine Bush, NY and clerics of the cathedral. 

After the Gospel reading, Bishop John delivered a sermon dedicated to the Sunday and the life of St. Sergius. 

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, His Grace led a short moleben before the wonderworking icon of St. Sergius that is housed in the cathedral. Afterwards, Bishop John greeted all those present with the feast. In recognition of his upcoming sixitieth birthday, and his many years of service as rector in Pine Bush, Bishop John presented Fr. Nikolai with a new chalice-set.
