On Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, the day that the Church celebrates the memory of the Venerable Maximus the Greek of Russia, the clergy of the Eastern States Deanery of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA gathered for Divine Liturgy and a deanery meeting at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Elizabeth, NJ.

The service was lead Archpriest Michael Kapchits, Dean of the Eastern States, and concelebrated by Priest Mark Rashkov, Vice-Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Acting Rector of Saints Peter and Paul Church in in Elizabeth, NJ, Priest Dmitry Sukhorukhov, cleric of Saint Nicholas Church in Bayonne, NJ, Priest Andrew Massey, Rector of Holy Elevation Church in Hackettstown, NJ, Priest Artemi Kulikovski, Rector of All Saints Church in Pine Bush, NY, and Deacon Nikolai Arabidze, cleric of Saint Nicholas Church in Bayonne, NJ.

At the conclusion of Divine Liturgy, Father Michael welcomed the gathered clergy and faithful with a sermon and thanked all who helped organize the service and luncheon.

After service, the clergy and faithful proceeded to the cultural center to take part in the meal which was prepared by the parishioners of Saints Peter and Paul Church.

At the conclusion fellowship, Father Michael convened the deanery meeting to discuss the pastoral and administrative issues facing the parishes. In attendance at the deanery meeting was also Deacon Vasiliy Carr, cleric of Saints Peter and Paul Church in Manchester, NH via zoom.
