On Sunday July 13, 2014, the Feast of the Synaxis of the 12 Holy Apostles, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Eminence Justinian Archbishop of Naro-Fominsk presided at the Divine Liturgy in Three Saints Church in Garfield NJ along with His Grace John, Bishop of Caracas and South America (ROCOR). Concelebrating with the hierarchs were parish clergy, Archpriest George Konyev, Protodeacon Daniel Sudol as well as visiting clergy Archpriest Yaroslav Stebelsky, Hieromonk Stephen (Bushman), Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov), Archpriest Evgeny Goncharenko and Deacons Rodion Shamazov and Mark Rashkov.
Present at the Divine Liturgy was the Wonderworking Icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh and the Holy Icon of Sts. Peter and Febronia with their Holy Relics.
Before Holy Communion, Abbot Nicodemus delivered a sermon on the significance of the two Holy Icons in the center of the church.
At the conclusion of the Divine Services, the clergy gathered before the Holy Icons and sang the Magnification to St. Sergius and Sts. Peter and Febronia.
Archbishop Justinian then awarded numerous couples within the parish who are joined in marriage for more than 50 years. The Medal “For Love and Loyalty” was bestowed upon:
