On Wednesday August 13, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA met with the Consul General of the Russian Federation in New York City, Igor Leonidovich Golubovsky. Igor Leonidovich congratulated His Grace with his Episcopal Consecration and appointment as Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA.

The Archpastor and Consul discussed a wide range of topics and ideas for future joint cultural events here in the United States.

Taking part in the meeting was the Consul-Advisor Anatoly Kargapolov, Vice-Consul of the Russian Federation in NYC Maksim Vladimirov and Secretary to the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov). 

At the conclusion of the meeting, Bishop John gifted Igor Leonidovich with a copy of the Cross of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
