The Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes Serves at St. Nicholas Cathedral in San Francisco

On Sunday August 17 the tenth Sunday after Pentecost, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace John Bishop of Naro-Fominsk presided at the Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Cathedral in San Francisco, California. His Grace was co-served by cathedral rector Priest Leonid Kazakov and cleric of St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City, Abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov).

At the conclusion, the rector greeted His Grace and thanked him for his prayers and attention to the Patriarchal Cathedral on the west coast of the United States.

Bishop John then delivered a sermon to the faithful present in the temple. He noted the importance of the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Nicholas in serving the faithful arriving from around the world, and to especially involve the youth with various activities around the parish.

Commemorating His first Archpastoral visit to St. Nicholas Cathedral, His Grace gifted the parish with a new vigil lamp, as a symbol of the brightly burning flame of the spirit of the parish and its parishioners.

Interaction between the Arcpastor and the parishioners continued in the parish hall.
