On Thursday August 21, at the Synodal Residence of the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace John, Bishop of Naro-Fominsk met with His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York. 

Metropolitan Hilarion congratulated Bishop John with his recent Episcopal Consecration and appointment as Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA. His Eminence then wished for continued brotherly cooperation between the two parts of the Russian Orthodox Church here in the United States.

The Archpastors then discussed the upcoming celebrations of the 700th Anniversary of the Birth of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Cleveland, Ohio. Also taking part in the meeting was His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland, Administrator of the Diocese of Chicago and the Mid-America.
