On Friday August 29, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk participated in the Fifth Forum of "Russian Compatriots in the United States" held in New York City. Attending the meeting was the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States, Sergey Kislyak; the General Consuls of the Russian Federation in the United States from Houston, New York City and San Francisco, clergy of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and other representatives of social, business and political organizations. 

The Council of Compatriots in the United States held its first Forum of Compatriots in Washington in 2006. The tasks of the forum is to develop a sustainable relationship between different associations of located in the Russian Diaspora in the United States; the development and support of various initiatives in the fields of culture, education, social projects and many other aspects.
