Meetings Between Diplomats and the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA

On November 21, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA held a meeting with the Deputy Representivie of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, Mr. Alexander Pankin. 

During the meeting Bishop John and Mr. Pankin discussed a number of joint projects in the humanitarian and cultural fields between the Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN. At the end of the meeting,Vladyka thanked Alexander Anatolievich, for his labors here in the United States as he will be leaving to return back to Russia;  for the years of fruitful cooperation and the always attentive and respectful relationship with the Russian Orthodox Church in the United States.

On November 22, a member of the House of Commons of Canada, Mr. Peter Goldring met with His Grace Bishop John at the office of the Administrator in the USA. 

Mr. Goldring shared with Vladyka his impressions of his recent travel to Ukraine and introduced his report on the situation in the country, which had been previously submitted to the Prime Minister of Canada.

During the conversation, Mr. Goldring had expressed concern with the situation in Ukraine knowing that a large community currently resides in Canada. Bishop John briefed the Mr. Goldring on the peacemaking efforts of the Moscow Patriarchate and its Primate, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill to stabilize the situation in the region. Vladyka and Mr. Goldring agreed that the efforts of religious leaders can be instrumental towards solving the secular problems in the world, and expressed their willingness to continue cooperation in the peacekeeping field.
