Bishop John Leads Patronal Feastday of St. Nicholas Cathedral

On Friday December 19, the feast of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker; His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA led the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral, NYC on the occasion of its patronal feastday. 

The previous evening, His Grace celebrated the All-Night Vigil together with Archpriest John Kasatkin, Rector of Holy Cross Church, Hackettstown NJ; Clergy of the Cathedral of Icon of the Mother of God of "the Sign" (ROCOR) and clergy of St. Nicholas Cathedral.

On the actual day of the feast, Bishop John was co-served at the Liturgy by, Archpriest Nikolai Babijtchouk, Rector of the Church of all Saints Glorified in the Russian Lands, Pine Bush, NY; Archpriest Igor Tarasov, Rector of St. George Church, Bayside NY; Hieromonk Eutychius (Dovagnyuk, Cleric of the Cathedral of "Cathedral of Icon of the Mother of God of "the Sign" (ROCOR); Hieromonk Tikhon (Gayfutdinov;Cathedral of Icon of the Mother of God of "the Sign" (ROCOR) and cathedral clergy. 

During the Divine Liturgy, His Grace lifted up prayers for peace in Ukraine.

Despite the feast falling on a civil workday, a large contingent of parishioners flocked to the temple.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy Vladyka John greeted the parishioners on the occasion of the patronal festday. His Grace also congratulated Archpriest Nikolai on his angel day and presented him with a set of priestly vestments.
