On Monday, May 25, the 111th Annual Memorial Day Pilgrimage was held St. Tikhon's Monastery in South Canaan PA (OCA).
His Beatitude co-served at the Divine Liturgy by Archbishop Mark of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania; Archbishop Michael of New Jersey and New York; Bishop Thomas of the Diocese of Charleston, Oakland and the Mid-Atlantic of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America and the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk. Clergy from various jurisdictions were present for the Divine Services.
For the duration of the Pilgrimage, the miraculous Hawaian Myrhh-streaming Icon of the Mother of God was present for veneration.
On the previous evening, Bishop John along with His Beatitiude Metropolitan Tikhon, was led on a tour of the monastery museaum by its curator, Archpriest John Perich.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a Panihida was held at the gravesite of Metropolitan Leonty (Turkevich).
