On Friday, August 28,the feast of the Dormition of the Holy Theotokos, with the blessing of His Eminence Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America & New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, and at the invitation of His Grace Nicholas, Bishop of Manhattan; the vicar for the Administrator of the Bulgarian Patriarchate parishes in the USA, Canada, and Australia, Bishop Daniel of Dragovitia and the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace John, Bishop of Naro-Fominsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City. The hierarchs were co-served by Synodal clergy. Joining in the festal services was the rector of the Kursk Theological School, Archimandrite Simeon (Tomachinsky). 

Upon completion of the Divine Liturgy, the clergy and faithful venerated the Holy Shroud of the Holy Mother of God.

Bishop Nicholas greeted the guest hierarchs with the feast and thanked them for their prayers. 

Brotherly interaction between the hierarchs continued after the Divine Liturgy in the Synodal hall.
