St. Michael the Archangel Parish Holds Annual Russian Festival

On October 2-4, the parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Philadelphia held its 39th Annual Russian Cultural Festival held on the grounds of the parish.

Despite the rainy weather, many visitors gathered at the festival from the Philadelphia area. Immediately upon entering the parish hall, guests were met with numerous tables and booths filled with souvenirs, icons, books, and church supplies. Festival participants had an opportunity to experience traditional food and drink. A special traditional dance program was organized for guests by children of the parish school. Musical accompaniment was provided by the Kauriga Balalaika Orchestra.  Throughout the festival, a food bank was set-up to provide much needed food products to the local Philadelphia food bank.
