During the Sundays of Great Lent, Lenten Mission Services Held in Parishes

During the Sundays of Great Lent, in keeping with a time-honored tradition, the faithful of local Orthodox churches in a their geographical area gathered at an assigned parish to celebrate the evening Lenten Vespers. This year, a number of these services were held in the parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church in the USA.

Clergy of the Eastern States Deanery serving in Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Passaic, NJ; St. John the Baptist Church in Little Falls, NJ and Three Saints Church in Garfield, NJ on the First, Third and Fifth Sundays of Great Lent respectively. 

Clergy of local parishes in Florida served in St. Gregory the Theologion Church in Tampa, Florida on the Fourth Sunday of Great Lent.

On the Fifth Sunday of Lent, clergy from the local parishes in Northeastern Pennsylvania gathered in Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Scranton, PA.

In addition, clergy of local parishes in Philadelphia, PA celebrated Lenten Vespers in St. Michael the Archangel Church on the First Sunday of Great Lent, and clergy of local parishes in Baltimore, MD celebrated Lenten Vespers on the Second Sunday of Great Lent in Holy Trinity Church
