Prior to the start of the Midnight Office, His Grace entered the cathedral and venerated the Holy Shroud. At midnight, the Paschal Procession began culminating with the exclamation of the triumphant words "Christ is Risen"!

The Paschal Divine Liturgy was served immediately after. The Paschal Gospel was read aloud in Church Slavonic, Greek, English, Latin, Russian, Ukrainian, Belorussian, Moldovan and French.

After the reading of the Gospel, the Paschal Epistle of Bishop John was read, and before Holy Communion the Paschal Epistle of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill was read aloud.
