On Bright Saturday, May 7th, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the traditional Divine Liturgy on Bright Saturday in Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Passaic, NJ.

His Grace was co-served by clerics from across the Patriarchal Parishes as well as guest clergy from the Eastern American Diocese of ROCOR.

After the Prayer before the Ambo, Bishop John read aloud the Prayer for the Breaking of the Artos, after which the clergy and faithful proceeded in procession around the cathedral.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop John congratulated the clergy, some of whom traveled hundreds of miles to celebrate the end of Bright Week with their archpastor.

Bishop John also presented a number of Archpastoral Gramotas to:

Protodeacon Daniel Sudol on the occasion of his thirtieth anniversary of ordination into the Holy Diaconate

Reader Nicholas DeGraaff for his labors to Three Saints Church in Garfield
Reader George Konyev for his labors as editor of the english language website of the Patriarchal Parishes

After a group photograph, all proceeded to the parish hall where a bountiful luncheon was held.
