On Thursday, November 30, the Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church continued its work at the Hall of Church Councils in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations and chairman of the Synodal Biblical and Theological Commission addressed the attendees with the results on the study of the documents of the Council of Crete that took place on June 18-27, 2016.
Before the session His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and the archpastors prayed at the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The Liturgy was celebrated by Archpriest Alexander Dasayev, dean of rector of the Church of the Resurrection in Sokolniki, and clerics of the capital city.
The fifth plenary session opened with the report of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine.
