Archbishop Antony of Vienna and Budapest Visits Florida

From April 26 to 28, during his visit to the United States, the head of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for Foreign Institutions, Archbishop Antony of Vienna and Budapest visited the state of Florida.

On April 27, accompanied by the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the United States, Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk,  and rector of St. Gregory the Theologian Church in Tampa, FL, Archpriest Andrey Kovalev, Bishop Antony visited the Orthodox Assisted Living Home in Clearwater. The facility was established under the auspices of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA in 2017. The director, Peter Schweitzer, acquainted Archbishop Antony with the work of the institution as well as the house chapel dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God "Rescuer of the Perishing." Vladyka Antony relayed to the staff and residents the blessings and well wishes from His Holiness Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow and All Russia.

In the afternoon, Archbishop Antony visited St. Gregory the Theologian Church in Tampa, where he was acquainted with the activities of the parish and Sunday school, as well as the  restoration work in the original church building, which was severely damaged during a hurricane in 2004.
