Traditional Nativity Reception Held in Russian Consulate

On Tuesday, January 15, an official Nativity Reception was held in the Consulate of the Russian Federation in New York City, on behalf of Consul General Sergei K. Ovsiannikov. 

The reception was attended by Eastern American Diocesan vicar Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan; Bishop Irinej of Eastern America (Serbian Orthodox Church), clergy of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, the Russian Church Abroad, the Antiochian, Serbian and Bulgarian Patriarchates. Consuls General, as well as representatives from other nations’ diplomatic missions and various religious and secular organizations in America, were also present for the reception. Consul General Sergei Konstantinovich welcomed all to the Russian Consulate, wishing them all good health and joy during the holiday season. Before the blessing of food, a short concert of Nativity music was performed by the Royal Martyr Tsar Nicholas II Male Choir under the direction of Rdr. Adrian Fekula.
