Alabama parish blesses town, Sews medical masks in response to Coronavirus Pandemic

On Lazarus Saturday, April 11, Priest Paul Davis, rector of St. Nicholas Church in Brookside, AL served a moleben for the Cessation of Death-bearing Pestilence. At the request of the town's mayor (who he himself is a Methodist), Fr. Paul performed an automobile cross-procession where he blessed the town in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

In addition, the parish sewing group, dedicated to Venerable Tabitha, has been diligently sewing medical masks to supplement the extensive need in Alabama for personal protective equipment. The group has sewn over 125 masks themselves in their own homes due to the current stay-at-home orders in place, which are then donated to a larger state organization.
