His Holiness Patriarch Kyrill of Moscow and All Russia expressed his condolences on the repose of Protopresbyter Leonid Kishkovsky, Director of External Relations and Interchurch Relations of the Orthodox Church in America.
His Beatitude Tikhon,
Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All America and Canada
Your Beatitude, beloved in the Lord Fellow and Concelebrant at the Throne of God!
With sorrow I received the news of the repose of Protopresbyter Leonid Kishkovsky, whom I personally knew and with whom I interacted at various interchurch forums for more than fifty years. I express my sincere condolences to the widow of the deceased, Matushka Alexandra, his children and grandchildren.
I offer my prayers to the All-Merciful Lord, so that He commit the newly departed laborer of the church's vineyard, to the mansions of the righteous, into a place of brightness, a place of repose and I wish spiritual strength to all who are now experiencing this loss.
With brotherly love in the Lord
+ KYRILL
Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia
