Archbishop Peter of Chicago & Mid-America celebrates Liturgy in Nativity of Christ Church

On Saturday, August 5, with the blessing of Bishop Matthew, Archbishop Peter  of Chicago & Mid-America celebrated a hierarchal Divine Liturgy for the feast of the Pocheav Icon of the Theotokos at Nativity of Christ Church in Youngstown, OH.

At Vigil Deacon Jacob Ponomarenko served with the rector, Priest Michael Lillie. At the Divine Liturgy concelebrating with the Archbishop was Igumen German Ciuba (ROCOR), Archpriest Daniel Rohan (Antiochian), Archpriest Emilian Hutyan (OCA), Archpriest Ilia Marzev (ROCOR), Priest Nikolai Pravitsky (ROCOR), and the parish Rector, Priest Michael Lillie who was awarded the Gold Cross for his faithful service to the Orthodox Church. Protodeacon Alexander Kichakov and Deacon Matthew Kaminsky served the with Archbishop.

The clergy and faithful venerated the parish icon of the Pochaev Theotokos which is an original copy from the Dormition Monastery in Pocheav.
